The Wicked Wolf, recently crowned Best Bar in Long Beach, is thrilled to launch its innovative book club with a unique twist. This first-of-its-kind book club blends the joy of reading with the history of spirits and the art of cocktail-making.

Starting September 30th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Read ‘em & Sip will meet on the last Monday of each month in the cozy confines of the upstairs Wolf’s Den. The September session will spotlight Girly Drinks by LA  author Mallory O’Meara. The book is a compelling collection that uncovers the often-overlooked influence of women in the history of alcohol.

Each session will feature a curated book paired with a cocktail, mocktail, or tasting inspired by the book’s themes, and prepared by The Wicked Wolf’s skilled bartenders. This innovative pairing ensures that every sip adds a new layer to the narrative, elevating the book club experience.

“Read ‘em & Sip is our way of mixing community engagement with a dash of fun, a splash of education, and a twist of spirited dialogue,” says Thea Mercouffer, co-owner and self-titled Artistic Director of The Wicked Wolf. “From the very beginning, we’ve aimed to be a space for cultural exploration and community connection, and this is just another way to realize that vision.”
